Just another headache for a genealogist to deal with ;-) I noticed this with my grandfather's birth in 1884, one of the few ancestors for whom I actually have a birth record. Photocopying has a charge associated with it, but I know I'll be doing so regardless. As to whether there is a charge to photograph, I'm not sure, but I know it must be allowed, since I saw a guy doing it when I was there on Wednesday. Yup.
