Please add the surname Macernieks to your surname list…sorry, but I do not have the proper accents…this is my grandfather’s surname, and his family is from both Zaube and Madliena parishes…my grandfather was born in 1898, and I understand his father operated a bar in Zaube…thanks so much!

My surname is Velins (in German and phonetic Latvian Wehlinsch, also Wehlin). My father’s ancestors came from Piebalga where that surname was given in 1826.They lived on a farm called Gici (Gitz) , first recorded in 1688, next to Tomuli where the family originated. Tomuli is next to Veverini, an open air museum devoted to weaving.which is what my family had done before WW 1.
I have prepared my family tree.
